Paul McMullan is the Owner, Clinical Lead, and Principal Sports Podiatrist at Lower Limb, a highly regarded podiatry clinic in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with locations on Lisburn Road and Ormeau Road. Lower Limb is one of the only podiatry clinics in the UK and Ireland to provide fully in-house orthotic manufacturing via SLS 3D Printing, enabling precise, data-driven outcomes for patients with complex foot and lower limb conditions.
With more than a decade of clinical experience, Paul has built a reputation as a specialist in biomechanics, sports injury management, and advanced orthotic therapy. He graduated from the University of Ulster in 2011 with a degree in Podiatric Medicine, and went on to complete a Master’s in Podiatric Sports Medicine at Queen Mary University of London, alongside further postgraduate training in pharmacology, podiatric surgery, Injection therapy, and rehabilitation sciences.
As Clinical Lead, Paul oversees a team of master’s-level podiatrists, driving clinical excellence and continuous professional development through structured mentorship, innovation, and evidence-based practice. He regularly delivers CPD training programmes and clinical workshops for both NHS podiatry departments and private healthcare clinics across the UK, focusing on advanced lower limb biomechanics, orthotic prescription, and rehabilitation strategy.
Paul is also the Founder and Director of Réalta Labs, a pioneering 3D orthotic manufacturing company based in Northern Ireland. Réalta Labs provides sustainably produced, clinically led orthoses to healthcare professionals across the UK and Ireland, merging advanced 3D printing technology with specialist podiatric knowledge.
By combining his clinical insight with advanced manufacturing and education, Paul has positioned himself at the forefront of foot and ankle healthcare innovation in Northern Ireland, shaping both patient outcomes and professional standards across the sector.
Outside of work, Paul enjoys family life, long walks with his cocker spaniel Nacho, and—despite many tests of patience—supporting Manchester United.
